The 2009 New England Hearing Healthcare Conference

  was a huge success!

The 2009 New England Hearing Healthcare Conference, sponsored by the Massachusetts Hearing Society ("MHS"), was held on Novemer 6, 2009 at the MGM Grand Conference Center at Foxwoods Resort Casino, with 8 CEU's being offered.  The MHS recently changed its conference format to an annual, one-day event which was well received by both attendees and ehibitors alike.  All felt the conference was , once again a resounding success.

Keynote speaker for the conference was Ruth Bentler, Ph.D., of the University of Iowa.  Dr. Bentler's presentations included an "Update on Hearing Aid Technology with a Focus on Open Fittings" and "Hearing Aid Features:  What is the Real-World Effectiveness?"  Other speakers included Joseph Vespe, M.S., M.B.A., of Hal-Hen, "Infection Control"; Kevin St. Clergy, M.S., EducatedPatients.com, "Internet Marketing and Hearing Aids: Capturing Patients Before They Buy Online"; and Brian Taylor, Au.D., Unitron, "Improving the Productivity of Your Hearing Aid Practice."
